As you may already know this marinade beef strips makes me busy most of this week. I was entertained out of town guest last weekend and this menu is perfect. In spite of being busy, I did, however, have a chance to get in the kitchen. This is one thing I came up with the other evening to cook this recipe. My family loves it too. The ingredients and procedure below guide you to experience this recipe.
Marinade Beef Strips Recipe
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 1/2 pounds 1 to 1 1/2-inch pencil-thin beef strips
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup dry white wine
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1/4 teaspoon red pepper
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 teaspoons minced ginger
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch (for tenderizing beef)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 egg white
Approximately 2 cups broccoli or any crisp green vegetables
- Mix all marinade ingredients except cornstarch and egg white. Marinate it at least 3 hours not more than 24 hours before preparation day. Put beef strips in deep bowl with cover and pour marinade over them. Make sure that the marinade absorbs every piece of a meat.
- Sprinkle cornstarch over beef gradually then gently massage the meat. Place beef in refrigerator for about 3 hours.
- Beat egg white until it’s frothy. Pour in beef mixture; just make sure it is evenly coated. Heat 2 table spoons of oil in pan and stir-fry vegetables. Remove vegetables from pan and set aside. Then, add a small amount of oil and stir-fry beef mixture, do not overcook it. Lastly, add the vegetables and mix together with beef mixture.
I actually love this dish because we don’t have sauce to make some taste. Perfect marinating is enough. If you want a bit saucy, you can add oyster sauce in pan together with a vegetables and beef mixture, combine and mix thoroughly until it taste good as you desired taste. This should be done just before beef and vegetable mixture is removed from fire.
I actually had enough liquid leftover after stir-frying. This Marinade beef strips recipe has a lot of beef in it. If you want, you can use a little less beef and more vegetables which would be more authentic. You can serve this Marinade Beef Strips with hot rice.
